"It's still pretty new, so as thirdshifter mentioned only time will tell BUT-
Build feels strong and smart. It's not as heavy as you would think it is being a grinder but it's solid feeling. nothing moves that isn't supposed to move. By smart - the tilt gets everything out that you put in. I was skeptical that it would be as good as it it here in Northern AZ where there's plenty of static, and at 5600' elevation things are usually dry.
The motor (I mentioned this earlier) is STRONG. There is no hesitation or change in pitch as it grinds. Anyone who has experienced less expensive grinder complain as it works knows the sound I mean. This thing sounds like 'no problem!' when it's running, the under powered grinders sound like 'oh man, I guess so, ugh...'
I am learning that I prefer the clarity of a big flat over the big conical for my coffee. At least with espresso. I have yet to try it for anything else. Next will be an Espro Press pot but currently I'm trying to figure out if a change in brew temp or some other variable might make the pulls more enjoyable. That's just my personal preference, I can see where some people would say the EK pulls are 'weak' because there's not as much noise in the shot.
Assuming the grinder holds up over time this has to be the best bang-for-the-buck, and perfect for home use espresso grinder. Small footprint, the sound is a lower tone which seems quieter and more pleasant than a high pitch shriek (EK espresso!), the espresso is fluffy and beautiful, stepless / repeatable adjustments.
Sorry, I'm gushing again. Needless to say I'm impressed"
