PPK, Bong Isolator, digitale thermometer en RVS zuigermantel geĆÆnstalleerd. De volgende review naar Tudor gestuurd voor op de site van Coffee Sensor. Ik hoop dat Engels OK is voor jullie.
"How crazy are you when you buy a new La Pavoni and start improving it immediately? What is there to improve? First: when you leave on the machine for a later shot, the group head gets very hot, above 100 degrees Celcius, so your coffee gets far too hot. You can resolve this with a wet cloth, spraying with cold water or other 'swimming bath' methods, but I dont like extra work... Solved with the Bong Isolator. Easy to install! Second: the presure that you give on the lever varies, sometimes a higher presure gives better coffee, sometimes not. Additionally it appeared that the small infrared thermometer that I used, not functions correctly on the mirroring surface of the group head. Was it the pressure, was it the temperature of the extraction water or was it grinding not being OK? My LP did seem a gambling machine... Solved by putting on a (ugly) thermometer with digital display and by implementing the PPK set of Tudor. Easy job, when you have issues Tudor responds very quickly to the chat (does he not need to visit the toilet sometimes?) and very high quality parts he sends you. About the PPK set: it is not only you can measure the extraction pressure, it is also a piston with better gaskets, a stronger lever from RVS, better RVS pins to mount the lever on the group head. Third: I read many issues with the plastic sleeve jacket wearing out. As said, I prefer no maimtenance work, so having the group head dismantled for this project I decided to also replace this sleeve jacket with a nicely made RVS one.
A big advantage of this improvements: I now better understand my machine."
