Yes, a little bit. do not expect it to be silent. I am pretty sure the noice is coming mostly from the conical burrs where the beans are smashed in the first place.
I have seen the Hedonne last year when I visited Bob and did not like the noise and resonance...
I know the feeling. I probably got one of the first 10 ever produced. The first versions had less features. Even the company is super yang....understandable in a way.I am personally super happy with the grinding and build quality

Yes grind quality should be excellent. Same hybrid burrs as Versalab. And good alignment.

I am pretty happy with it so far. I guess my grinder is not limiting my machine today. I would love to have the chance to compare it with an EK43 at some point.

I don't know if in Amsterdam or around are there any coffee meetups or similar events.
If there are, I will be more than happy to bring the grinder and play with it.

You could also opt for a lagom P64 or df64v if you're on a budget.

In het verleden en nu nog steeds vind ik de Versalab M3/4 erg interessant maar voor mij te prijzig. Nu las ik op internet en op ons forum je review van deze maler uit 2019. Ik vind je review informatief alleen vind ik de genoemde smaak profiel “Niche” misschien iets te kort door de bocht daar je op internet gebruikers ziet die van een Niche naar Versalab M4 met DSM schijven upgraden en daar juiste de “best of both worlds” in ervaren. Maar of dit nu echt zo is vraag ik mij nu af.

Ik heb zelf een Mazzer mini omgebouwd naar “single dose” met SJ 64 mm SSP CS schijven en ik wissel nu de schijven met red speed coating met betere alignment en daar je ook op internet leest dat er verschillende smaak profielen zijn per merk/type 64mm schijven. Probeer ik dat nu.

Met deze molen verwacht ik zeker een betere work flow en wellicht constante retentie tov nu maar of dit een “upgrade” in de kop geeft vraag ik mij af. Wat denk jij?


PS geld uitgeven voor een Versalad van nu 3600 euro vind ik te gek maar deze moler is voor mij een serieuse optie. Zijn de 64 mm optie’s die jij noemt voor mij nu nog optie’s om serious te overwegen?

Ik snap je punt, precies hierom kan ik geen uitspraken doen voor jou. Smaken verschillen. Ikzelf was niet onder de indruk van de Hedone. De pre breaker is conisch wat weliswaar voor een andere smaak zorgt icm de platte 64mm schijven. Ik weet niet hoe ik dat nu zou ervaren want het is ook alweer een paar jaar geleden dat ik deze gebruikte.

Je zou bij mij de Honne kunnen vergelijken met Niche en nog twee andere malers die er staan. Eigen bonen meebrengen, eigen espressomachine kan ook.

@Bobbee, welk punt je bedoeld is mij niet duidelijk had meerdere vragen maar jouw ervaring is mij duidelijk. Misshien dat ik dezelfde mening krijg na de ervaring. Ik dank je voor je reactie.
