Greetings!
As many of you know, we’ve been focused on building and shipping roasters for our pre-order customers. Busy? Yes. But now that there are more Bullets “out in the wild”, we’ve also been having a lot of fun watching our fellow coffee geeks share their roasting experiences online. (We particularly enjoy hearing about the great-tasting coffee people have been roasting!)
Software Updates!
Jacob has been continually improving the Bullet’s software, tentatively titled “Roast.Time”. The most obvious change is a better looking GUI. But from a coffee roasting perspective, the most important updates have been those that provide more statistical information about your roasts: first crack to finish delta temperature, roast development time as a percentage, roast profile overlays, and much more.
Depending on your coffee geek pedigree, you may not know what these numbers can do for your roast. At least not yet. But that’s okay, because learning is fun, right? That’s why we’ve designed the software to allow users to share their roasting profiles and expertise with other Bullet owners. This way, we can learn together as a community.
(And, since we’re talking about software, don’t forget to update your firmware to enjoy the best possible Bullet experience!)
We'll Be Taking New Orders Soon!
We’d like to end this newsletter with some news about taking new orders. Over the past few months, we’ve had many questions about when and where the Bullet R1 can be purchased, and now that we’re nearing the completion of our pre-order phase, it is time to begin looking forward to the next batch. Like the pre-orders, these machines will also be of a limited number, with a large chunk of the machines being reserved for our distributors in Australia, Singapore, Thailand, South Africa, and Japan.
But, we will also be reserving some Bullets for direct orders that we can take from people NOT residing in the above countries. The direct-order price for the Bullet R1 will be the MSRP for 2016: US$2500.
At a later date, we will be making the link to directly purchase the roaster completely public. But we’d like to give our more enthusiastic newsletter subscribers the “first crack”, so to speak. If you are from a country without a distributor and are interested in placing an order for the Bullet, send an email to
support@aillio.com and we’ll take care of you.
That’s all for now, folks. As always, we suggest that you keep on drinking great coffee.
- Aillio
